Bush fire has caused significant loss for people of Australia. Due to a dryer climate in the recent years, it becomes more and more likely that a small negligence may cause a big fire. In the last a couple of days, there were nearly a hundred of fire emergencies reported in QLD and NSW at the same time. And many of there are suspected to be caused by accident or even worse, arson. We are calling for a tougher law for fire ban and a better education strategy to prevent further loss.
The recent drama of the fight between social media giant Facebook and Australia government has proved that those profitable company will use every way to gain themselves profit, doesn't matter if it jeopardise the safety and security of the public society. Australia government has set a good example for other countries of the world that they should not be intimated by those greedy global giants.
When majority of Australian have already waken up to the fact of climate change and want to do something for it, they got slapped on face by some politicians who tried to turn over our climate commitment by saying net zero emission is dead. If we don't remove those deniers from the parliament, we'll never be able to win the war against climate change. Election 2022 will make a united parliament to stick with our promise for a 2050 net zero CO2 emissions plan.
We need federal support of educating high school students to be aware of the toxic culture of sexual misconduct. There are more and more reports about high school students as young as 13-year-old been sexually harassed or assaulted in Australia. The attackers, normally also high school students with same or older age, didn't have the knowledge of how serious the crime they have committed. When those attackers grow into adulthood, they are more likely to keep their misconduct and can commit even more serious sexual crime. Australian federal government should legislate to promote early education in high school to let the youth know the consequence of sexual misconducts and be prepared to protect themselves in sexual attack.
